Civil manpower supply in the UAE

Steel fixers, shuttering carpenters, masons and concrete gangs supplied as complete civil crews, sequenced against your pour dates.

Civil work on a UAE programme is paced by the pour cycle. Rebar, formwork and concrete are one sequence, and a delay in any of the three moves the pour, which moves the floor, which moves the handover.

That is why NSTC supplies civil trades together rather than separately. Steel fixers and shuttering carpenters from one source under one supervisor removes the coordination gap that normally sits between two labour suppliers and shows up as a missed pour.

Every civil trade is assessed on a physical output before joining the roster: a schedule for steel fixers, a set-out for carpenters, a sample panel for masons. A CV tells you very little about any of these trades.

Trades in this discipline

Each trade below has its own page with grades, certification and what we verify before deployment.

TradeWhat they cover
Steel fixersRebar fixing to bar bending schedule, including slabs, columns, walls and rafts.
Shuttering carpentersFormwork erection, alignment and stripping on panel, table and traditional timber systems.
MasonsBlockwork, plastering and rendering to line, level and finish.
Concrete gangsPlacing, vibrating, levelling and finishing, with curing and protection.
General labourMaterial distribution, mixing and site support that keeps skilled trades producing.
Civil supervisors and foremenRun the pour cycle from drawings and hold the interface with your engineers and consultant.

How we build the crew

  • Rebar and formwork supplied together under one supervisor, because they are sequenced against the same pour date.
  • Chargehands included in gang pricing, so the crew arrives organised rather than needing your engineer to run it.
  • Physical assessment before roster inclusion: a bar bending schedule, a formwork set-out or a sample masonry panel.
  • Helpers matched to the trade they support, since a helper who knows the sequence changes the output per skilled worker.
  • Documentation ahead of mobilisation, with labour and health cards reaching your document control before the crew arrives.

Where civil crews deploy

High-rise structures

Slabs, columns, core walls and shear walls on tower programmes running a weekly pour cycle.

Villas and low-rise

Rolling crews moving plot to plot across villa compounds and low-rise developments.

Infrastructure

Bridges, culverts, retaining walls, pump stations and below-ground structures.

Industrial foundations

Equipment bases, machine plinths, pile caps and heavy rafts inside plants and factories.

Finishing works

Blockwork, plastering and tiling as the programme moves from structure into finishes.

Precast yards

Cage fixing and mould work in precast production, where shift output is the measure.

Common questions

What is the difference between civil and construction manpower supply?
We use civil for the structural trades themselves, the rebar, formwork, concrete and masonry crews. Our construction manpower page covers staffing a construction project as a whole, including the finishing and support trades alongside the civil crews. If you are not sure which you need, describe the scope and we will point you to the right one.
Do you supply steel fixers and carpenters together?
Yes, and most civil clients take both. They are sequenced against the same pour date, so having them from one supplier under one supervisor removes an interface that otherwise costs time on every cycle.
How do you price civil gangs?
Normally a day or monthly rate per worker by grade, with the chargehand priced into the gang. Some clients prefer output-based pricing, such as a rate per tonne of rebar fixed, which we can quote when the drawings and programme are clear enough to price reliably.
What gang size should we ask for?
It depends on the element and the cycle. Six to twelve steel fixers with a chargehand suits most slab and column work; formwork gangs commonly run six to fourteen. Tell us the element and the pour cycle and we will suggest the gang rather than just quoting the number you ask for.

Need a civil crew?

Tell us the element, the gang size and the pour date. We confirm availability and rates, and can mobilise within 24 hours.
