Certified welder supply in the UAE

Certified TIG, MIG and arc welders, tested to the welding procedure your project specifies, supplied to contractors and plant operators across the UAE.

NSTC has supplied welders to UAE industrial and construction projects since 2005. We hold welders on our own roster under group sponsorship rather than sourcing them once an enquiry arrives, which is why we can answer a requirement with qualification records rather than a promise to start looking.

Weld quality on a process plant is verified, not assumed. Every welder we deploy carries a qualification record showing process, position, material group and thickness range, and has completed a test piece assessed by visual examination plus bend or radiographic testing depending on the scope.

We supply single welders for a shutdown window and full welding crews with their own foreman for fabrication and erection contracts. Where you need the weld map, consumable control and NDT coordination handled as well, our technical contracting arm can take the scope rather than just the labour.

Grades and roles we supply

RoleWhat the grade covers
TIG welder (GTAW)Root and fill on stainless and carbon steel pipe, commonly tested 6G on 2 inch to 6 inch schedule 40 and 80.
MIG welder (GMAW)Semi-automatic structural and plate work, suited to fabrication yards and high deposition structural scopes.
Arc welder (SMAW)Structural steel, plate, pipe supports and general carbon steel site welding.
Combination welderTIG root with SMAW or FCAW fill and cap, where one welder completes the full joint on process pipework.
Pipe welder (6G)Qualified in the fixed 45 degree position, the standard requirement for process and utility pipework.
Structural welder (3G, 4G)Vertical and overhead plate positions for beams, columns, brackets and access platforms.
Welding foremanSupervises the welding crew, controls consumables and preheat, maintains weld maps and liaises with your QC team.

What we verify before deployment

  • Welder qualification record against the welding procedure your project specifies, showing process, position, material group and thickness range.
  • Test piece completed before deployment, assessed by visual examination plus bend or radiographic testing according to the scope.
  • Valid UAE labour card and health card, plus a site safety card where the project requires one.
  • Consumable handling competence, covering electrode storage and bakeout, preheat and interpass temperature control.
  • Site induction readiness, so the welder is productive on day one instead of clearing paperwork.

Where our welders deploy

Process and utility pipework

Refineries, gas plants and water treatment, where 6G qualified pipe welders work from isometrics under NDT hold points.

Structural steel and platforms

Pipe racks, access platforms, equipment supports and mezzanines, both in the fabrication yard and on site.

Tanks and vessels

Bottom plate, shell and roof welding on atmospheric storage tanks, with hydrotest and third-party inspection coordination.

Shutdowns and turnarounds

Surge welding crews mobilised for short, high-intensity plant shutdown windows where every hour of downtime is costed.

Fabrication yards

Spool fabrication to client isometrics, with weld maps and traceable welder identification on every joint.

MEP and building services

Chilled water, firefighting and plumbing pipework welding on commercial and industrial buildings.

Common questions

What welding qualifications do your welders hold?
Welders are qualified against the welding procedure specification your project uses. We provide the welder qualification record with each profile, showing process, position, material group and thickness range, so your QC team can check it against the scope before you accept anyone.
Can we test your welders before accepting them?
Yes, and most clients do. We arrange test pieces at your facility or ours. If a welder does not pass your test tell us and we will discuss a replacement, because the alternative is a rejected weld discovered at radiography.
How quickly can welders be on site?
Once the scope is confirmed and a purchase order or letter of acceptance is issued, we typically mobilise within a few days. The exact timing depends on the quantity, the qualification required and the site induction process at your location. Urgent shutdown requirements should be raised by phone.
Do you supply welding machines and consumables?
On a straight manpower supply the client normally provides machines, consumables and PPE. If you would rather we bring equipment and consumables, that becomes a technical contracting scope and we quote it separately.
Are the welders under your sponsorship?
Yes. Workers are employed under NSTC group sponsorship, so visa, labour card and payroll sit with us; accommodation, transport and food are agreed per contract. You receive an invoice for the manpower, not a set of employment obligations.
