Painter and blaster supply in the UAE

Industrial painters, sand blasters and protective coating applicators supplied across the UAE, plus decorative painters for building projects.

Protective coating fails at the surface preparation stage, not the paint stage. A blaster who leaves the profile short of the specification guarantees the coating will lift, and it will lift after handover rather than before, which is when it becomes expensive.

NSTC supplies industrial coating crews assessed on surface preparation to specification, DFT control and correct application of epoxy and polyurethane systems. We also supply decorative painters for building and fit-out work, graded separately, because the two are not the same trade.

Coating work usually needs access, so we commonly supply the blasting and painting crew together with certified scaffolders for encapsulation and containment.

Grades and roles we supply

RoleWhat the grade covers
Coating supervisorRuns the crew to the paint specification, controls surface preparation standards, DFT readings and inspection records.
Sand blasterSurface preparation to Sa 2.5 and other specified standards, including profile control and equipment operation.
Spray painter (industrial)Airless and conventional spray application of epoxy, polyurethane and specialist protective coating systems.
Brush and roller applicatorTouch-up, stripe coating, welds and edges, and areas where spray application is not practical.
Decorative painterBuilding finishes: preparation, filling, priming and finish coats on walls, ceilings and joinery.
Blasting helperHose handling, abrasive supply, pot tending, containment support and housekeeping around the blasting crew.

What we verify before deployment

  • Surface preparation assessment against the specified standard, because the profile achieved determines whether the system holds.
  • Application test covering spray technique, film build, runs and correct wet film to dry film relationship.
  • DFT measurement awareness, so the crew works to the specification rather than to appearance.
  • Valid UAE labour card and health card, plus a site safety card where the project requires one.
  • Respiratory protection and confined space awareness, since blasting and coating generate the most significant exposure risk on most sites.

Common questions

Do you supply blasters and painters together?
Usually, because they are one sequence. Blasting a surface and leaving it unpainted past the permitted interval means blasting it again, so the crew that prepares and the crew that coats need to work to the same schedule.
Do you provide blasting equipment and abrasive?
On manpower supply the equipment, abrasive, paint and PPE are the client scope. NSTC also takes blasting and coating as a contracted scope with equipment and consumables included, which is a separate enquiry and priced differently.
Can your crews work to a client paint specification?
Yes, and that is the normal arrangement. Give us the specification and the crew works to it, including preparation standard, coating system, film thickness and inspection hold points. Where you have a third-party coating inspector, our supervisor works to their hold points.
Do you supply decorative painters as well as industrial?
Yes, but we grade them separately. An industrial coating applicator and a decorative painter are different trades, and describing one as the other produces a disappointed client either way.
