Ductwork is bulky, awkward and installed in the most congested part of the ceiling void, usually after the services that were easier to fix first. A duct crew that can read coordinated drawings and hang to level without clashing into the sprinkler and cable tray routes saves an argument on every floor.

NSTC supplies duct fitters for installation and sheet metal workers for fabrication, and we grade them separately because they are different skills. Fabrication is workshop accuracy; erection is site coordination.

Duct crews commonly work alongside our HVAC technicians and electricians on MEP packages, which keeps the interfaces inside one supplier rather than across three.

Grades and roles we supply

Role	What the grade covers
Ductwork supervisor	Runs the erection crew from coordinated drawings, manages levels, clash resolution and inspection with the main contractor.
Chargehand duct fitter	Leads a gang, sets out hanger positions and levels, checks jointing and sealing before the section is closed up.
Duct fitter (erector)	Ductwork assembly, hanging, jointing, sealing and fixing of dampers, grilles and diffusers to drawing.
Sheet metal worker	Workshop fabrication of ducting, fittings, transitions and bends, including cutting, forming and seaming.
Insulation applicator	Duct insulation, vapour barrier and cladding following the erection crew.
Ductwork helper	Material handling, hoisting, access support and housekeeping around the erection gang.

What we verify before deployment

Coordinated drawing test, because reading a services coordination drawing is what prevents the clash that stops a floor.
Practical jointing and sealing assessment against the duct construction standard used on the project.
Valid UAE labour card and health card, plus a site safety card where the project requires one.
Working at height competence, since almost all duct erection happens from access equipment.
Manual handling awareness for large sections hoisted into congested ceiling voids.

Common questions

Do you supply duct fabricators as well as erectors?

Yes, and we grade them separately. Sheet metal fabrication is workshop accuracy and forming skill; duct erection is site coordination and hanging. Some workers do both well, most are clearly stronger at one, and we tell you which.

Can your crews work to coordinated services drawings?

That is part of the assessment. Duct fitters are tested on reading a coordination drawing, because the clash that stops a floor is almost always a duct installed to the wrong level by someone who worked from the duct layout alone.

Do you supply duct insulation as well?

Yes. Insulation applicators can be supplied as part of the same crew so insulation follows erection directly rather than waiting for a separate subcontractor to mobilise.

Who provides the ductwork material?

On manpower supply the ductwork, hangers, sealant and fixings are the client scope and we supply the crew. If you want the ducting package taken including material and fabrication, that is a contracting enquiry.
