Scaffolding is the one trade where an unqualified worker is a direct safety liability rather than a quality problem. Every scaffolder we deploy holds third-party certification appropriate to their level, and we will not substitute an uncertified worker to fill a number.

NSTC supplies scaffolding gangs for plant shutdowns, tank and vessel access, facade work and pipe rack maintenance. Shutdown access is usually the critical path: the scaffold has to be up before the mechanical crews can start and down before the plant restarts, which is why we mobilise scaffolding gangs ahead of the trades that depend on them.

We supply the labour. Material, design and the scaffold handover certificate remain with the scaffolding contractor or the client unless the scope is contracted to us specifically.

Grades and roles we supply

Role	What the grade covers
Scaffolding supervisor	Runs the gang, works from the scaffold design, controls the permit and tagging system and liaises with the site safety team.
Scaffolding inspector	Third-party certified to inspect and tag erected scaffold, complete inspection registers and sign off handover.
Chargehand scaffolder	Leads an erection gang of four to six, sets out the base and lifts, and checks ties and bracing as the structure goes up.
Scaffolder (erector)	Certified erection and dismantling of tube and fitting, cuplock and system scaffold, including boards, ties and guardrails.
Scaffolding helper	Material handling, passing and stacking under the direction of a certified scaffolder, not erecting independently.
Rigger scaffolder	Combined lifting and access competence for confined and elevated work where material has to be craned into position.

What we verify before deployment

Third-party scaffolding certification appropriate to the level, erector, chargehand, supervisor or inspector, checked and recorded before roster inclusion.
Working at height and fall arrest competence, including correct harness selection, anchorage and rescue awareness.
Tagging discipline, so scaffold is never left untagged or wrongly tagged between shifts.
Valid UAE labour card and health card, plus a site safety card where the project requires one.
Practical erection assessment on the system in use, since tube and fitting, cuplock and proprietary systems are not interchangeable skills.

Common questions

Are your scaffolders third-party certified?

Yes. Certification appropriate to the level is a condition of joining our roster, and we provide the certificates with the worker profiles before you accept anyone. We do not put uncertified workers forward as scaffolders, though we do supply helpers for material handling under supervision.

Do you supply scaffolding material as well?

Our standard offering is labour. Material, scaffold design and the handover certificate stay with the scaffolding contractor or client. If you want the access scope taken as a package, that is a technical contracting enquiry and we quote it differently.

Can you mobilise a gang for a shutdown at short notice?

Shutdown access is a large part of what we do, and shutdown dates are usually known well in advance. Tell us the window as early as you can and we hold the gang. Genuinely short-notice requirements should come by phone rather than the form, because availability moves daily during shutdown season.

Who signs the scaffold inspection register?

A certified scaffolding inspector, which we can supply as part of the gang. Whether the register sits with us or with your own safety team depends on the contract structure, and is worth settling before mobilisation.
