Rigging is the trade where certification is not paperwork. A rigger who misjudges a centre of gravity or slings a load on the wrong angle creates a consequence that no amount of supervision downstream can correct, which is why we do not substitute uncertified workers into rigging positions to fill a number.

NSTC supplies riggers as part of erection and mechanical crews and as standalone certified riggers for lifting operations. Every rigger carries third-party certification, and we provide the certificates with the profile before you accept anyone.

Riggers work to your lift plan and your permit system. Where you would prefer NSTC to develop the lift plan as part of a contracted scope, our technical contracting arm handles that instead.

Grades and roles we supply

Role	What the grade covers
Lifting supervisor	Controls the lifting operation, works to the lift plan, briefs the crew and holds the interface with the crane operator and permit issuer.
Rigger level 1 and 2	Third-party certified rigging for routine and complex lifts, load assessment, sling selection and rigging arrangement.
Crane slinger and banksman	Signalling, tag line control and load guidance, maintaining sight line and communication with the operator.
Rigger fitter	Combined rigging and mechanical fitting competence for equipment setting and machinery installation.
Scaffolder rigger	Combined access and lifting competence where scaffold material has to be craned into elevated positions.
Rigging helper	Gear handling, sling and shackle preparation and housekeeping under the direction of a certified rigger.

What we verify before deployment

Third-party rigging certification at the appropriate level, checked and recorded, with no exceptions made to fill a position.
Practical assessment on sling angle, load assessment, centre of gravity judgement and gear selection.
Signalling competence, including standard hand signals and radio discipline for blind lifts.
Valid UAE labour card and health card, plus a site safety card where the project requires one.
Lifting gear inspection awareness, so defective slings and shackles are identified and rejected before use rather than after.

Common questions

Are your riggers third-party certified?

Yes, without exception. Certification appropriate to the level is a condition of joining the roster and we supply the certificates with the worker profiles. We will supply rigging helpers for gear handling under supervision, but we do not describe a helper as a rigger.

Do you supply crane operators?

Our core supply is riggers, slingers and banksmen. Crane operation and the crane itself are usually procured separately, though we can discuss operators as part of a larger requirement.

Who produces the lift plan?

On manpower supply the lift plan stays with you and our riggers work to it. On a contracted scope we can produce the lift plan and method statement for your approval. It is worth settling this before mobilisation because it changes where the responsibility sits.

Can you supply riggers at short notice for a shutdown?

Shutdown support is a regular part of our work, but shutdown season concentrates demand into the same weeks. Give us the window as early as you can. For genuinely urgent requirements call rather than using the form.
